Sự kiện thứ hai là vụ ám sát lãnh đạo quân phiến loạn chống Gadafi tại Lybia.Như chúng ta đều biết, sau cuộc cách mạng tổng nổi dậy của quần chúng Trung Đông Bắc Phi, người dân Lybia bắt đầu chính thức đòi hỏi dân chủ dưới chế độ độc tài của Gadafi, dù về phương diện kinh tế, Lybia rất phát triển và tiến bộ. Thế nhưng ngay sau khi cao trào chỉ mới chớm nở , Mỹ và NATO đã nhảy vào cướp cái "Chính Danh" của cao trào cách mạng bằng những thao túng bạo lực khủng bố và tuyên truyền - Mỹ và NATO đã đưa những tên tay sai của họ vào Bengazi dùng quân lực cướp quyền điều hành, mở cửa cho các nhóm phiến quân khủng bố chuyên nghiệp trà trộn vào cao trào và cho đến nay coi như thao túng toàn diện.
Trong bối cảnh này, chiến lược QUÂN ĐỘI HÓA cao trào cách mạng quần chúng của Mỹ và NATO đã gần như ngưng trệ ở giai đoạn đầu- cho đến khi cựu bộ trưởng quốc phòng, một tướng thân cận của Gadafi, tướng Abdel Fatah Younes từ bỏ chế độ Gadafi để tham gia phong trào chống GADAFI, dưới kinh nghiệm quân sự và kiến thức cũng như uy tín của Abdel Fatah Younes, lực lượng phiến quân ô hợp đã giữ lại vị trí chủ động và có thành quả khả quan.
Thế nhưng, sự thật nội tình cuộc cách mạng đã xoay thành phiến loạn, khi Mỹ và NATO đưa các nhóm vũ trang chuyên nghiệp và đánh thuê của họ vào, dẫn đầu là tên tướng, Khalifa Haftar, thân Mỹ chống Gadafi từ thời chiến tranh giành quyền lực tại Lybia đã thua cuộc đào thoát theo nhóm quan Chad do Mỹ yểm trợ. Thời gian này, Khalifa Haftar thành lập đội ngũ du kích do CIA huấn luyện và tài trợ cùng với Sadam Husein khi còn là đồng minh của Mỹ trong cuộc chiến Iran-Iraq. Sau đó "chính trị đổi thay" tại khu vực như chúng ta đã thấy, Sadam Husein thành kẻ thù Mỹ, Gadafi thành bạn Mỹ- thì Khalifa Haftar biến mất-- và "không biết làm cách nào" đã sống lặng lẽ tại Mỹ, bang Virginia, gần ngay bộ chỉ huy CIA thành phố Langley!!! Đúng là "tình cờ trùng hợp" (Có lẽ đây là ý Chúa và Alah, bố khỉ) ... Và khi cuộc cách mạng dân chủ bị cướp tên, thì chính Khalifa Haftar tái xuất hiện trong chức vụ lãnh đạo dân quân do Mỹ ủng hộ và tiếp tế vũ khí tiền bạc..
Thế là trong hàng ngũ "dân quân kháng chiến" "bỗng nhiên" có hai vị Tướng chỉ huy- Cuối cùng vì uy tín, kinh ngiệm và tài năng của Abdel Fatah Younes rõ ràng được minh chứng qua thành quả ổn dịnh và đẩy lùi lực lượng Gadafi- nên Abdel Fatah Younes đã coi như nắm vị trí then chốt của quân vũ trang.. Nhưng dĩ nhiên Mỹ, NATO và nhóm tay sai Khalifa Haftar không thể hài lòng ngồi im nhìn KẾ HOẠCH của họ bị "lèo lái"... Và Một cuộc đảo chính ngầm hất cẳng tướng Abdel Fatah Younes do CIA , NATO điều động phía trong đã diễn ra gay gắt. Báo chí Mỹ tung tin ủng hộ Khalifa Haftar và loan tin chính Khalifa Haftar đã được phong chức vụ lãnh đạo QUÂN KHÁNG CHIÊN LYBIA...Nhưng cuối cùng thất bại... Tuy nhiên cũng thành công được một nửa là đã buộc HỘI ĐỒNG CHUYỂN TIẾP QUỐC GIA (National Transition Council) đẩy tướng Abdel Fatah Younes xuống giữ chức Đổng Lý Văn Phòng Hội Đồng, trong khi tên Khalifa Haftar tay sai từ Mỹ về nắm vị trí then chốt thứ 3 trong hàng ngũ Lãnh Đạo Tối cáo của phiến quân- Dù vậy uy tín và lực lượng trung thành với tướng Abdel Fatah Younes và lý tưởng chống ĐỘC TÀI lật đổ Gadafi vẫn còn đó- Mỹ NATO và thế lực tay sai của Mỹ và NATO trong cái gọi là Hội Đồng Chuyển Tiếp Quốc Gia không thể yên tâm, chúng cần phải bứng gốc tướng Abdel Fatah Younes và lực lượng của ông này bằng mọi cách. Và cũng từ đây, càng ngày càng có nhiều "tin đồn" từ trong ra ngoài, từ chí báo Mỹ , Anh , Pháp, Úc v.v tố cáo tướng Abdel Fatah Younes là có liên lạc bí mật với Gadafi v.v
Thế rồi "bỗng nhiên" có tin chính thức, tướng Abdel Fatah Younes bị ám sát chết. Theo tín chính qui đưa ra thì Ông ta được Hội Đồng Quân Sự triệu hồi về bộ chỉ huy ở Bengazi để trao đổi vấn đề quân sự, tháp tùng với ông Younes là hai đại tá tùy viên. Và trên đừng về CẢ BA đều bị ám sát chết - Nhưng thật ra là bị bắt giữ và dẫn độ về Bengazi để bị tra vấn, và sau đó, cũng theo tin chính qui, bị nhóm phiến quân Al Qaeda-Lybia một bộ phận vũ trang trong lực lượng "kháng chiến chống Gadafi" giết. TẤT CẢ LÀ THÔNG TIN CHÍNH QUI.. chưa có bằng chứng từ các cơ quan thông tin độc lập-
Tuy nhiên ngay sau đó, một QUÂN LỆNH TỪ TRUNG ƯƠNG ra lệnh GIẢI GIỚI tước vũ khí- TẤT CẢ CÁC LỰC LƯỢNG NÀO không thuộc quyền điều hành trực tiếp của Hội Đồng và tướng Khalifa Haftar tay sai từ Mỹ về- Thế là một cuộc nổ súng giữa các lực lượng phiến quân xảy ra - Kết quả chưa được rõ ràng...
Trên danh nghĩa chính thức do Mỹ NATO ủng hộ- Hiện nay chỉ còn một ông Tướng Khalifa Haftar do CIA đưa về về từ Mỹ làm xếp xòng quân lực "cách mạng".. Chúng ta cũng đừng quên rằng nhóm quân 'CÁCH MẠNG" này đang tung hoành tàn sát dân cư, những ai bị cáo buộc là trung thành với chế độ GADAFI - Các nhà báo độc lập kể cả phóng viên của tờ Der Spiegel Đức cũng bị nhóm quân đội do Khalifa Halfta bắt giam và tra khảo- khi những phóng viên này đến Bengazi để tường thuật và điều tra về những vụ giết ngừoi hàng loạt của "quân kháng chiến chống Gadafi". Mà ngay như Nghị Sĩ tối dạ John Maccain cũng phải "nhẹ nhàng" lên tiếng cảnh cáo bọn "kháng chiến quân Libyan" rằng nếu không ngưng hành động tàn bạo, ông ta sẽ vận động Quốc Hội Mỹ ngưng ủng hộ McCain tells Libyan rebels: end abuses or risk US support (nhưng Maccaine lại không nhắc đến chính bom đạn Mỹ và NATO dã giết nhiều thường dân và phá hủy nhiều nhà cửa của quần chúng Lybia- cũng như biệt kích Mỹ Anh cùng đám phiến quân Lybia đã giết nhiều người dân chúng cho là ủng hộ trung thành với Gadafi cho đến nay)
Nói tóm lại, ước vọng "cách mạng dân chủ" của dân Lybian chưa ngoi lên ở mức khởi đầu đã bị Mỹ va NATO dùng chính LỰC LƯỢNG ĐÁNH THUÊ và các nhóm KHỦNG BỐ AL QAEDA do Mỹ tài trợ xông vào bóp chết và cướp tên "chính danh dân chủ".
Hiện nay, cái gọi là nhóm phiến quân chống Gadafi chỉ là một đám QUÂN ĐỘI bạo ngược- HỢP TÁC VỚI ĐÁM KHỦNG BỐ do Mỹ tài trợ và điều động- dĩ nhiên làm theo lệnh Mỹ..Và mục tiêu CHIẾN LƯỢC của Mỹ và NATO là phá nát TIỀM LỰC của khối Trung Đông, chặn đứng làn sóng DÂN CHỦ THẬT, tạo dựng nhóm cực hũu Quốc Gia Dân Tộc Hồi Giáo ... để có lý cớ chính đáng cho cuộc THÁNH CHIẾN CHỐNG KHỦNG BỐ HỒI GIÁO- nghĩa là Mỹ và NATO đang "chính nghĩa hóa" bọn KHỦNG BỐ.. Tức là chính sách ĐẾ QUỐC dứoi chiêu bài CÚU NHÂN ĐỘ THẾ (HUMANITARIAN INTERVENTION) phải được triệt để tiến hành...bằng mọi giá dù gian trá man rợ bạo ngược phi nhân và nghich lý trơ trẽn đến mức nào!

Any illusions that the US and its NATO allies are backing “democracy” in Libya against the reign of Moammar Gadhafi evaporated last week as the rebel chief of staff, Abdel Fatah Younes, was murdered – not by Gadhafi’s troops, but by his own “Free Libya” forces.A former Interior Minister and once quite close to the Libyan dictator, Younes defected to the rebel ranks early in the insurgency, when Benghazi was under assault from loyalist forces. With much military experience, and prominent in his own right, Younes’ was immediately appointed commander of the rebel army by the “National Transitional Council,” the rebels’ political arm, and hailed by the West and their Libyan proxies as a great patriot and military leader.
He was opposed, however, by Khalifa Haftar (sometimes spelled Hifter), a former Libyan military commander who defected to the Chadian forces in Libya’s war with Chad. Haftar set up his own guerrilla group, funded by the CIA and Saddam Hussein. After being kicked out of Chad, Haftar’s last known address, before returning to Libya to join the rebel forces, was less than five miles awayfrom CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.
Back in April, the “Free Libya” armed forces announced that Haftar had replaced Younes as top commander – but, as the Guardian reported, the NTC reversed this attempted coup – and “denied there had ever been a change.”
The factional warfare was tamped down, for the moment, by a compromise effected at the top: in the end, neither Younes nor Haftar was given the title of Commander El Supremo. Instead, an intermediary process was set up, with the “army” – such as it is – put under the Defense Minister,Omar Hariri, and then Hariri’s successor, Jalal al-Dogheily, with Younes demoted to chief of staff and Haftar given the number three position.
Yet beneath the surface, the factional and tribal tensions reached the boiling point. Younes wassummoned to Benghazi by the NTC to discuss certain “military matters,” according to the Official Story, but in reality he was under arrest and being detained to answer charges he was in secret communication with Gadhafi. He was murdered on the way, supposedly by members of the “September 17 Martyrs Brigade,” a group said to have ties with the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group – essentially al-Qaeda-in-Libya. The Fighting Group is an officially designated terrorist organizationwhose assets are subject to seizure by the US State Department – however, in this case, since that very same State Department is the primary sponsor of US intervention in Libya, one supposes that executive order 13224 is inoperative. Indeed, since US aid is flowing to the rebels, we can say with certainty that the assassination of Younes was funded by the American taxpayers.
Aside from the general barbarity of this act, which gives us a glimpse of what the rebel regime will look like if and when they take power in all of Libya, look at the curious factional line up in the rebels’ internal power struggles. Although the Official Story, as promulgated by the NTC, keeps changing – initially, a “pro-Gadhafi” faction in Benghazi, an “armed gang,” was blamed for the killing, but there are too many Western reporters in town to keep a lid on the truth (or some approximation of it) for long. Now we are told that those responsible for the killing – rebel soldiers – have been arrested. However, whomever gets the Official Blame in the end isn’t what’s interesting: the real scoop is that our boy, Haftar – think Ahmed Chlabi, Libyan version – is aligned with the Islamists against the more secular elements, defectors like Younes and the Benghazi lawyers who make up the civilian leadership of the rebellion.
As in the Balkans, where US-trained and-funded “Kosovo Liberation Army” guerrillas fought alongside al-Qaeda’s legions and NATO forces, so the same alliance is fighting to “liberate” Libya. It is as if a time machine has thrust us back in the Clinton years – and indeed these are the Clinton years, redux, at least in the foreign policy realm, as this is the policy area that has been ceded to the Clintons by a disengaged and generally hapless President Obama. All of which puts in a new perspective recent boasts by top administration officials and various “experts” that we are on the verge of finally defeating al-Qaeda. Why, then, are they allying with Osama bin Laden’s Libyan legatees?
It makes no sense, but then again this entire Libyan adventure has never made any sense. We were told that the prevention of a “humanitarian disaster” was the reason for US/NATO intervention in the first place, with a top US official putting the death figure at more than 100,000 if NATO failed to lift the siege of Benghazi. Yet it was the defection of Gen. Younes, who commanded the besiegers, that really turned the tide of the war. This gave him tremendous authority – and aroused the ire of his tribal and ideological enemies. Whichever scapegoat gets blamed for the act, it is clear that both the Islamists and Washington’s-sock-puppet Haftar worked to undermine Younes, spreading rumors about his alleged secret contacts with Tripoli, getting him summoned to Benghazi for interrogation – and ultimately engineering his assassination.
That this happened shortly after the primary agitator of the NATO campaign, the government of British Prime Minister David Cameron, granted official diplomatic recognition to the NTC as the “legitimate” government of Libya, unceremoniously kicking out Gadhafi’s ambassador and staff, just underscores what critics of the Western intervention have said all along: that the policymakers behind this intervention never knew what they were getting into.
We were told, remember, that the clock was ticking, and the death of tens of thousands, at the very least, was imminent. Gadhafi, if he were allowed to take Benghazi, would have depopulated the city – which is precisely what the rebels are doing in the mountainous region of western Libya, as Der Spiegel reports:
“Several towns along the route [of the rebels’ advance] are now completely depopulated. One is Awaniya, a town of 15,000 people until the rebels captured it. The shops lining the highway in Awaniya were looted and are now littered with garbage. In some stores, even the shelves are missing. In the town itself, houses stand empty and ransacked, and some have been burned down. Other towns look similar. New houses are still burning days after the rebels took over, and trucks are removing anything that was overlooked during the initial looting: sacks of wheat as well as food and sheep.
A piece of graffiti on the wall of an empty supermarket in Awaniya berates the ‘Mashashiya traitors.’ The Mashashiya are the tribe that lived in Awaniya and two other nearby towns. Most of its members supported Gadhafi, as did the inhabitants of most of the remaining depopulated towns along the road from Zintan to the front, including Qawalish.”
The assassination of Younes and the scorched earth tactics of the Libyan “liberation” army should give us a clue as to what kind of future they envision for their nation. As to why we haven’t heard much about this aspect of the rebel army, Der Spiegel reports:
“The rebels respond aggressively to anyone who tries to investigate. A SPIEGEL team was taken into custody in Awaniya, escorted to the Zintan command post and interrogated.”
If this is how they treat foreign media, which they’ve been cultivating with some success so far, it’s not hard to imagine how they’ll deal with their own media organizations. The rebels no more represent the forces of “democracy” than do Gadhafi’s forces: this is a civil war in which both sides aim to establish a de facto dictatorship, and employ the same brutal methods. What is the American interest in the outcome?
In a rational world, the assassination of a major rebel commander by his own side would preclude US recognition of the rebel government, if not forever than for the foreseeable future. It would also provoke a major rethinking of a policy that played such a volatile wild card as the Libyan rebels. In the Bizarro World alternate universe from which US policymakers issue their pronouncements, however, this is just a minor glitch, to be brushed aside as the armies of Libyan “liberation” sweep onward to victory. As Obama administration shill Juan Cole put it:
“Younis was too close to Qaddafi, despite his defection, to remain truly popular with the rebels, and it is a little unlikely that his death will affect the terms of the uprising, despite what some observers are saying. He was not allowed to be a field officer because of the mistrust, so his absence would not affect the battlefield.
“In fact, the hardy Free Libya forces of the Western Mountain regions took a strategic town near the Tunisian border as news of his assassination was announced. And, Brega, though being cleared of mines, has fallen to Free Libya forces in the east, a major advance for the rebels. Western observers keep looking for a stalemate, but the rebels have in fact steadily advanced.”
Never mind those “isolationist” naysayers and “Mashashiya traitors” – what do they know? Onward, soldiers of “democracy” and harbingers of the “Arab Spring,” Washington-style! Onward to victory!
During the Bush era, Prof. Cole was the go-to academic for trenchant analysis of why the neoconservative strategy for defeating terrorism – invading the Arab world – was disastrously misguided. Today he stands with the Obama administration and the neocons in their enthusiasm for the US/NATO-supported Libyan rebels, who are in no way different from Chalabi’s Iraqi National Congress or any of the other CIA-backed exile groups, including Haftar’s outfit. Incredibly, Cole hadnothing to say about the assassination of Younes other than that it wouldn’t mean beans in the long-run, as the rebels are headed for victory. If this brazen murder raised any questions in his mind as to the nature of the forces he’s aligned himself with, Cole has so far kept silent.
As for our State Department, they, too, are mum – and I, for one, can hardly blame them. What are they supposed to say – that we’re aiding and abetting a gang of savages in Libya?

One of Washington's most influential senators has warned Libya's opposition administration that they risk alienating US and international support unless they take "decisive action" to halt human rights abuses by rebel fighters.
The Republican Senator John McCain's stark message emerged the day after the British Government recognised the Transitional National Council based in Benghazi as the legitimate representatives of Libya and ordered the Tripoli regime's diplomats to leave the UK.
Yesterday the opposition sought to take over the Libyan embassy and consulate in London, and declared that Mahmoud Nacua, described as a 74-year-old poet, will become the new ambassador. TNC officials also urged that billions of pounds in frozen Libyan assets abroad should be turned over to the Benghazi administration.
In a letter to Mahmoud Jibril, the TNC's head of foreign affairs, seen by The Independent, Senator McCain stated: "I urge you to investigate recently documented abuses, hold people accountable as necessary, and ensure that opposition military forces are abiding by the principles of justice and human rights."
The former presidential candidate went on to stress: "As you surely know, the critics of the TNC, both in the United States and across the world, are eager to seize on any transgression to stoke opposition to the Council and to the Libyan people's fight for freedom."
Senior British Tories have long been close to Mr McCain and David Cameron, then leader of the opposition, broke diplomatic convention by backing the Senator in the presidential race in a fulsome speech in 2008.
While Mr McCain has remained a supporter of military operations, President Barack Obama is facing rising criticism from both Democrats and Republicans in Congress over the four-month long bombing campaign which has so far failed to remove Colonel Gaddafi from power.
In his letter to the TNC, dated 20th July, Senator McCain, writing as "your friend and supporter" pointed out "recent documentation of human rights abuses committed by opposition figures in the western Libyan towns of al-Awaniya, Rayayinah, Zawiyat al-Bagul, and al-Qawalish". He continued: " According to Human Rights Watch, a highly credible international non-governmental organisation, rebel fighters and supporters have damaged property, burned some homes, looted from hospitals, homes and shops, and beaten some individuals alleged to have supported government forces.
"I am confident you are aware of these allegations.... It is because the TNC holds itself to such high democratic standards that it is necessary for you and the Council to take decisive action to bring any human rights abuses to an immediate halt."
The rebel forces, who have failed to achieve any game-changing military successes despite the air strikes destroying much of the regime's capabilities, have also been accused of being divided and sending contradictory and conflicting policy statements.
Disarray among opposition ranks was illustrated when the TNC's co-ordinator in Britain, Guma el-Gamaty, dismissed as "silly" the recent offer by the TNC head, Mustafa Abdel Jalil, that Colonel Gaddafi and his family could stay in the country rather then go into exile. "I think we are coming to the end of all these silly political initiatives and all this talk about Gaddafi staying in Libya," he said. Mr Gamaty's stance also runs contrary to the position of the French government that peace talks can begin with Colonel Gaddafi staying in the country as long as he relinquishes power. The Foreign Secretary, William Hague, has also endorsed this position although he has stressed that it was ultimately a question for the Libyan people to decide.

* "It is equally important for the TNC to make clear through public statements that such acts will not be tolerated and that the TNC remains fully committed to the protection of human rights. I urge you to investigate the recently documented abuses, hold people accountable as necessary, and ensure that opposition military forces are abiding by the principles of justice and human rights that the TNC has correctly championed."
* "As you surely know, the critics of the TNC, both in the United States and across the world, are eager to seize on any transgression to stoke opposition to the Council and to the Libyan people's fight for freedom.
